Roscosmos: Paris Air Show 2015
Roscosmos and United Rocket and Space Corporation enterprises are participating in the Paris Air Show, which has started today, in Le Bourget, France.
Roscosmos and the United Rocket and Space Corporation hold a common stand of almost 400 square kilometers in surface, where they present expositions by Lavochkin research and production association, Khrunichev research and production center, Energia state corporation, Progress rocket and space center and other prominent in Russia and world-renowned companies, manufacturing all the necessary equipment for space research: models of carrier rockets, spacecraft, ground-based stands, launch tables and other objects.
Head of Roscosmos Igor Komarov, caretaker head of the United Rocket and Space Corporation Yuri Vlasov, and the managers of Russia's prominent rocket and space industry enterprises are negotiating with their European, Japanese, and American colleagues on further cooperation in “civil” space.
Lavochkin research and production association presents a model of Luna-25 (Luna-Globe) spacecraft, which is to start Moon exploration in 2024, according to the Federal Space Project for 2016-2025. Intriguingly, the spacecraft is to land in the polar zone of the Moon, whereas the other spacecraft up to now have landed in the Moon’s equator. The association also presents Spectr-RG telescope, which is to start operating in March 2017 in the Lagrange point (1.5 million kilometers from the Earth) and to continue the well-known Spectr-R’s work.
Energia rocket and space corporation presents the promising PTK NP transport spacecraft. According to the Federal Space Project for 2016-2025, it is to be launched from Vostochny cosmodrome in 2021 by Angara carrier rocket (its model is presented by Khrunichev research and production center).
TsNIIMash presents a unique research base for resource, durability, and statistic tests of carrier rockets, large blocks and carrier rocket stages. There are no such ground bases of experimental processing of launch vehicles in Europe, the Russian base is unique. It is 20 meters high and 16 meters in diameter.
RSS (Russian Space Systems) presents a system of high precision monitoring of engineering construction and earth’s surface shifts, GLONASS-based RSS Complex software, as well as innovations in the remote sensing of Earth and COSPAS-SARSAT rescue system.
